About us

Paper Press Punch is a small Risograph print and book studio run by artist couple Jessica Hoffman and Justin Quinlan. Our community focused studio offers artists of all ages the opportunity to learn all about the quirkiness of the Risograph duplicator through workshops, open studio hours, and Zine of the Month Club. In addition to working with artists, we’ve collaborated with several local organizations to produce unique books and prints, such as Short Run Seattle, Photographic Center NW, MoPOP, yəhaw̓ Collective, SOIL Gallery, Henry Art Gallery, and many more.

Jessica comes from a photographic, book arts, and printmaking background, earning an MFA in Book Art and Printmaking from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. She teaches fine art at Seattle Central College and Pratt Fine Arts Center and is on the Advisory Board for Short Run Seattle.

Justin studied painting at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD and draws comics in collaboration with his son in his free time. He’s been an exhibitor for several local comix fests and fairs, including Short Run Seattle, Exterminator City, Olympia Comics Fest, and Comix Thing in Portland, OR. He was a past contributor to Seattle-based quarterlies Hair Flip, Thick as Thieves, and Intruder Comics.

Paper Press Punch is located in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle at the historic Old Rainier Bottling Plant, sharing studio space with Short Run Seattle.
